About the Journal

Introduction:

The Journal of Adaptive Agriculture and Biotechnology Research (JAABR) is an International, Scholarly and peer- reviewed Journal published biannually. It is an official publication of the Faculty of Agriculture, Plateau State University, Bokkos. The Journal intends to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and findings in the area of Agricultural Economics, Extension and Rural Sociology, Animal and Crop Science. The Journal publishes original research works in basic and applied management, animal and crop production.

The scope of the Journal includes:

  • Agricultural Economics and Extension areas to cover: Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness management, Agricultural policy, Agricultural extension, rural development, environmental Economics, Natural resources, international development, community development, and rural development. Others are Sustainable Agriculture practices, climate change adaptation Strategies, and value chain analysis; gender Inclusivity in Agriculture, Food systems economics and extension services evaluation.
  • Animal Science areas to cover: Animal nutrition, feeds and feedstuff, animal breeding and genetics, reproduction, micro livestock, animal biotechnology, pasture and range land management, animal products and handling, fisheries, Meat science, muscle biology, reproductive physiology, parasitology, microbiome, forage utilization, animal health, monogastric, ruminants, companion animals, animal farming practices, and animal welfare.
  • Crop Science areas to cover: Organic farming, cropping systems, agronomy, horticulture, soil science, plant pathology, crop physiology, Agriculture forecasting, plant breeding and genetics, weed science, digital agriculture, Agro-ecology, Sustainable Farming Systems, biodiversity, Crop Biotechnology, Food Security, Plant Nutrition, and Crop Adaptation.
